The new technology of automotive diesel engine EFI opens its own brand era
January 12, 2023
According to Xinhua News Agency on June 27, Chengdu Wang's Witt Electronic Co., Ltd. learned that the company's successful development of a diesel engine EFI technology - electric control combined pump system has entered the mass production phase. This system has independent intellectual property rights and can meet the requirements of China III emission standards.
Starting from July 1 this year, China will formally implement the State III automobile emission regulations. This regulation requires that the electronic fuel injection system for automotive diesel engines fully replaces the backward mechanical fuel injection system. The diesel engine EFI technology belongs to the automobile core component technology and directly determines the emission and overall performance level of the automotive diesel engine. However, for a long time, the diesel engine EFI technology has been mastered by giants such as Bosch, Denso and Delphi.
Industry insiders believe that this set of EFI systems with independent intellectual property rights has escaped the long-term dependence on multinational companies in China's EFI market, increased the bargaining position in the negotiations between China's automotive diesel engine companies and foreign EFI suppliers, and at the same time ensured China’s auto industry. The diesel engine manufacturing industry can meet the national III or higher emission regulations under lower cost conditions.
According to reports, this electronically controlled combination pump system has entered the mass production phase. Yuchai, Dongfeng Cummins, FAW Daichai, FAW Xichai, Dongfeng Chaochai, Beiqi Futian and more than a dozen major automotive diesel engine companies have applied the product on its National III products. Since the second half of last year, nearly 5,000 units have been delivered to users and gained market recognition.
