Shandong's second largest automotive industry in China becomes an important base for domestic commercial vehicles

In the first half of this year, the comprehensive economic index of the Shandong automobile industry was second only to Guangdong Province, ranking second in the country, and it has become an important production base for domestic commercial vehicles.

According to the Shandong Machinery Industry Association, the automobile industry has become an important pillar industry in Shandong, ranking first among the 13 industries in the province's machinery industry. In the first half of this year, the comprehensive economic indicators of Shandong's auto industry were second only to Guangdong Province, ranking third in the country from the third place in the same period last year. From January to July, Shandong's auto industry achieved a total sales revenue of 150 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35%; a total profit and tax of 11.5 billion yuan, an increase of 24.5% year-on-year; and a profit of 7.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.5%.

Heavy vehicle production in Shandong accounts for more than 30% of the national total heavy truck output. Up to now, the Shandong auto industry has 10 "China Top Brands", ranking second in the country in the same industry. It has 5 "China Famous Trademarks" and ranks third in the same industry in the country. It has 23 export base enterprises, ranking the same in the country. The second industry; has more than 1,700 patents, ranking the forefront of the industry in the country.
