Automotive relays include sealed relays such as plastic seals. These models not only have excellent environmental resistance, but also have a great effect on failures in the actual mounting of printed boards such as automatic welding and cleaning. The following describes the features of the automotive relays and precautions for use. Please discuss them when using them to avoid malfunctions.

1. About the use of the environment

Plastics are not suitable for environments where special airtightness is required. There is no problem with using them on ordinary flat surfaces. However, please do not use them at pressures other than (96±10kPa). And avoid using in flammable, explosive gas environment. In this case, use a metal reed relay.

2. About cleaning

When cleaning printed boards after soldering of printed boards, it is recommended that alcohol be used for cleaning. Please avoid ultrasonic cleaning. If ultrasonic cleaning is used, ultrasonic energy may cause coil breakage and slight stickiness of the contacts.

Car relay storage and transportation:

1. Does the relay have icing and condensation? (especially when shipping)

2. Is the temperature within the allowable range?

3. Is the humidity within the allowable range?

4. Is there any organic gas or sulfur gas in the surrounding environment?

5. Is there a small amount of trash or dust in the storage area?

6. Is oil, moisture, etc. attached to the relay?
