Automotive Electronic Reliability Test Standard and Test Project Introduction

I. Test Overview As a complex industrial product, automobile has more and more requirements for vehicle control, entertainment, navigation, and on-vehicle communication. The vehicle's system is more and more complex. The car's control system is based on high-end electronic equipment. The reliability of its electronic devices directly determines the safety and operational reliability of the vehicle. Generally, in general, the use environment affects the durability and operating performance of electronic devices and units. Therefore, the environmental reliability of automotive electronic components has become one of the core issues of automotive reliability.
At present, automotive electronic products are mainly divided into the following three categories: (a) Electronic components. Including GPS, speakers, car DVD, reversing radar, controller, operational amplifier, switching power supply, various types of microprocessors, computers and so on. (b) Relays and motor motors. Including all kinds of relays, wiper motor, electric antenna, air conditioning motor, heater motor, electric chair, front-view mirror motor, central control door lock, alternator, cleaning pump motor. (c) Various types of sensors. Among them, the development of sensors and relays is the most active. It is the two types of automotive electronics that are most used in cars.

Second, electronic equipment reliability test standards
1, ISO
In ISO, ISO/TC22/SC3 is responsible for the standardization of automotive electrical and electronic technology. The application environment of automotive electronic products includes electromagnetic environment, electrical environment, climate environment, mechanical environment, and chemical environment. At present, the environmental standards and test standards for automotive electronic standards developed by ISO mainly include the following:
ISO 16750-1: Road vehicles - Environmental conditions and tests for electrical and electronic products: General
ISO16750-2: Road vehicles - Environmental conditions and tests for electrical and electronic products: Power supply environment
ISO 16750-3: Road vehicles - Environmental conditions and tests for electrical and electronic products: Mechanical environment
ISO 16750-4: Road vehicles - Environmental conditions and tests for electrical and electronic products: climate and environment
ISO16750-5: Road Vehicles - Environmental Conditions and Tests for Electrical and Electronic Products: Chemical Environment
ISO20653 Automotive electronic equipment protection against foreign objects, water and contact
ISO21848 Road Vehicles - Electrical and Electronic Equipment Power Sources with a Supply Voltage of 42V At present, the environmental testing standards for domestic automotive electronic products are mainly stipulated in accordance with the technical conditions of the products. The National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC114) is drawing up the corresponding national and industry standards in accordance with ISO standards.
The ISO standards have been widely adopted in the car factories of European and American cars, and the requirements of Japanese car manufacturers have deviated greatly from the ISO standards. In order to ensure that the standard limit is reached, the environmental conditions of the internal controls of automobile depots are generally more stringent than those of ISO.
2. AEC Series Standards In the 1990s, Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors established the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) to establish a common set of parts qualification and quality system standards. AEC established standards for quality control. The AEC-Q-100 chip stress test certification specification is the first AEC standard. The AEC-Q-100 was first published in 1994. Because the AEC-compliant parts can be used simultaneously by the above-mentioned three car manufacturers, it promotes the willingness of component manufacturers to exchange their product characteristics data, and promotes the implementation of universal automotive parts. This makes the AEC standard a common test specification for automotive electronic components.
After more than 10 years of development, AEC-Q-100 has become a common standard for automotive electronic systems. After AEC-Q-100, specifications such as AEC-Q-101 for discrete components and AEC-Q-200 for passive components, and guidelines such as AEC-Q001/Q002/Q003/Q004 have been successively developed.
3, mainstream depot test standards

Third, some automotive electronics commonly used test conditions summary different test environment conditions will have different effects on the product, the different parts of the car's environmental reliability requirements are different, such as: for temperature environment conditions, the car front dashboard upper part requires 120 °C , Lower part of 71 °C, cabin floor parts 105 °C and so on. Therefore, for automotive electronics products with different uses and different mounting locations, the environmental reliability test conditions are not the same. The following table lists the major environmental test items and test conditions for some common automotive electronics products.
1. Test object conditions and test equipment description
