· Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. recalled some domestic and imported cars

Recently, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, which was decided since 2017. From the 25th of the month, the following vehicles were recalled, totaling 1,818,340 vehicles:
(1) Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd.:
Part of the 2010-2015 Magotan travel sedan, which was produced between May 29, 2010 and January 7, 2015, totaled 18,315 vehicles;
Part of the imported 2013-2015 Magotan full-road vehicles produced during the period from July 10, 2012 to December 30, 2014, totaling 3,280 vehicles;
Part of the imported 2010 Volkswagen CC vehicles produced between June 23, 2009 and October 29, 2009, totaling 799;
(2) FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd.:
Some of the domestically produced 2007-2014 Magotan vehicles produced between January 31, 2007 and November 17, 2014, a total of 859,869 vehicles;
Some domestically produced 2009-2014 Volkswagen CC vehicles produced between August 7, 2009 and November 17, 2014, a total of 125,820 vehicles;
(3) SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd.:
Some of the 2011-2015 new Passat sedan, which was produced between January 5, 2011 and September 21, 2015, totaled 810,257 vehicles.
The fuel pump control unit of some vehicles within this recall will cause the non-load current to rise under certain load conditions, causing overheating, and the electronic components inside the control unit may be invalid due to the mechanical pressure caused by the installation position. The engine is turned off and there is a safety hazard. Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will replace the improved fuel pump control unit for vehicles within the recall range to eliminate safety hazards.
The recall was carried out under the circumstances of the AQSIQ initiated defect investigation. For some time, the AQSIQ Defective Product Management Center received complaints from consumers about this issue. After receiving the complaint, the AQSIQ immediately deployed the Defective Product Management Center to conduct a defect investigation and assessment of the above issues. Affected by the investigation, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to eliminate potential safety hazards.
