All-digital automotive instrumentation is favored, and Chinese domestic enterprise technology needs to be improved

The automotive industry continues to grow, and its electronic configuration is constantly being upgraded, gradually becoming more integrated and intelligent. At present, electronic digital display meters, image display meters, etc. have gradually been applied in automobiles and have received favorable comments.

The industry is very optimistic about all-digital automotive instrumentation. Traditional dashboards that only display mileage, speed, engine speed, and water temperature have been difficult to meet the needs of modern car owners. Automotive instruments are integrating more information, such as ECU, ESP, tire pressure detection, brake system, airbag working conditions, etc., are displayed on the dashboard. Digital car meters can better meet consumer demand for accuracy, sensitivity, comfort, and energy efficiency, and the display is more intuitive.

However, at present, China's domestic automotive instrument companies still face many difficulties in their development. Mainly in the lower level of technology, most do not have the development of digital car instrument technology, design is not enough rich, export volume and so on. Although the current automotive instrumentation accounts for 10.2% of the total automotive electronics market, it is often a joint venture or wholly foreign-owned enterprise that occupies the market. Due to the scarcity of test equipment, high testing costs, and lack of relevant talents, local companies in China have been unable to achieve technological breakthroughs, which has seriously affected the development of automotive instrumentation in China.
