Technological breakthrough is the top priority for the development of new energy automotive industry
November 21, 2022
The automotive and parts industry transfer and matchmaking activities in 2013 fell in Zhengzhou last week. Not only did the automotive and parts manufacturers from both inside and outside the province successfully reached a number of cooperation, but entrepreneurs were also very concerned about the future development of the automobile industry. Zhang Jinhua, secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers, believes that the future of new energy vehicles will have a bright future. Electric vehicles will lead the revolution in the automotive industry. Technological breakthroughs are still the top priority for the development of new energy vehicles.
Electric cars will trigger new changes
At the meeting, Zhang Jinhua, secretary-general of the China Automobile Engineering Society, told reporters that with the continuous development of the new energy industry, electric vehicles will trigger changes in the automobile-related industries in the future. In the past, traditional enterprises had more research and development The engine's displacement is planned as a platform system, and the new power system is based on the battery, completely breaking the traditional technology. From engine to battery, the ownership of the power system is changing.
At the same time, he believes that the auto parts industry will also face restructuring. In the future more than one-third of the value of the engine and drive components will be gradually replaced by new components such as batteries, motors, and controls. He particularly reminded the auto industry to prepare in advance.
Technological breakthrough is still the most important issue in the development of China's new energy automotive industry
In the interview, Zhang Jinhua constantly stressed that technological breakthroughs are still the top priority for the development of the new energy automotive industry in the future.
Due to weak technical and industrial foundations and low investment, China's electric vehicles currently differ from international advanced water standards in terms of basic theory, materials, key components, systems, vehicles, equipment, and processes, and key components still rely on imports. Zhang Jinhua affirmed the technological innovation project of the new energy automobile industry, but he believes that the current industrialization-oriented innovation project may be difficult to achieve a fundamental breakthrough in core technology and will affect the long-term competitiveness of China's auto industry.
After comparing the technical level of domestic and foreign hybrid vehicles and pure electric vehicles, Zhang Jinhua believes that the domestically developed hybrid vehicles have a big gap between the fuel economy and reliability and the international advanced level, among which commercial vehicle technology has improved. However, there is still a gap, and the gap between hybrid passenger cars is even greater; there is also a gap between pure electric vehicles and the international advanced level; the gap between the fuel cell core stack technology is also large; the development of the power battery is great, and the performance of the single cell battery is different. Not great, but there are still significant gaps in management, control, etc. after group formation. Therefore, he proposed that a combination of energy and new energy vehicle innovation should be implemented far and near.
Zhang Jinhua said that fuel cells and batteries are equally important and require the attention of a large number of companies. Domestic fuel cell technology has made great progress in recent years. Many world-renowned companies plan to put fuel cell vehicles in 2015, and fuel cell vehicles will usher in industrialization. Countries such as Japan and the United States have some plans and progress on fuel cell vehicles, while only a few companies in China have relatively in-depth research and development on fuel cells.
"Innovating the common technology research and development model is the key." Zhang Jinhua believes that the government should assume an important role in the initial weak foundation of technological innovation, and gradually establish an industrial common technology research and development strength and independent innovation system. In terms of R&D, the realization of common technology R&D has shifted from the introduction to the independent innovation stage.
Demonstration promotion is an important part of the development of electric vehicles
For the development of the automobile and parts industry in our province, Zhang Jinhua also put forward his own suggestions.
He suggested that the government should establish a forward-looking and continuous policy to indicate the direction of development and provide reliable protection. He also emphasized that the government must vigorously promote the popularization of new energy vehicles, promote the pilot demonstration of new energy vehicles, and use the demonstration as an important part of the development of electric vehicles. At present, the “Ten Cities One Thousand Vehicles” demonstration project has achieved significant results. Up to now, 25 model cities have already promoted more than 30,000 energy-saving and new energy vehicles. However, there is a gap between China and foreign countries in the evaluation of demonstration effects. Therefore, the government should also pay attention to the evaluation of demonstration effects while carrying out the demonstration pilots, carry out evaluation work and special demonstrations and evaluations of new business models, and further improve the relevant systems of electric vehicle standard systems, market access, and industrial management.
Enterprises should increase investment in technology and talent cultivation, adhere to independent innovation, independent research and development, and narrow the gap with foreign well-known enterprises.
