Chen Guangzu said that car chips are a cornerstone of the development of the automotive industry. If the information technology core technology represented by chips is not carried out, the automobile industry will be more passive in the future development. It is reported that in 2000, 31 academicians such as Wang Dazhao and Yang Jialu, famous academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, proposed to develop China's automotive electronic information industry and seize the commanding heights of the world's automotive computing platform. However, due to lack of funds and talents at that time, research and development were stagnant.

To this end, Chen Guangzu proposed to set up a high-end, professional, high-exercise "car chip think tank" to add momentum to the intelligent development of the automotive industry, plus stamina.
